About Us
Ethan Gilbert
Ethan Gilbert is currently a junior at Cornell University, where he is studying Applied Economics and Management, and taking plenty of math courses on the side. He has played varsity lacrosse his first two years of college and is the Vice President of his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega.
A mathlete to the core, Ethan participated in Math Counts in both 7th and 8th grades. He was a member of the math league team at Fayetteville-Manlius High School for four years. During his junior and senior years he represented his county at the New York State math league competition. Ethan also competed in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) four times, qualifying for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination three times. At Cornell, he has taken Calculus II, Statistics and Linear Algebra, and he plans to continue studying math electively in each of his remaining two years.
Aaron Flack
Aaron Flack is a junior at Williams College, where he wrote raps about math for credit last winter and will pursue a major in either Mathematics or Economics. He also plays on the men’s varsity lacrosse team.
A fellow alumnus of Fayetteville-Manlius High, Aaron explored mathletics during his final two years of high school. He participated in math league and took the AMC twice, qualifying for the AIME once. At Williams, he has taken Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Abstract Algebra. He plans to continue his study of math in its various forms and occasionally sports a calculator necklace.
